Successful start of IBS'project "Carpet Tale"15 JULY 2020
The latest and ambitious cross-border tourism project - "The Tale of the Carpet" reported a successful launch of its first online working meeting on July 14, 2020.
Participants in the meeting were Ms. Lena Gaidarska - President of the International Business School and the initiator of the project, Mr. Sasha Jovanovic - Director of the Museum of Ponishavie and an international team directly involved in the launch and development of the project. Moderator and project manager was Desislava Aleksova, PhD, Chief Assistant at IBS.
The project "Carpet Tale: creation and promotion of a new cross-border tourist product connecting the regions of Pirot and Chiprovtsi through their shared carpet traditions" was signed in early June and is being developed by the International Business School - Botevgrad, in partnership with the Historical Museum - Chiprovtsi and the Museum of Ponishavie - Pirot, as part of the cross-border cooperation program Interreg Bulgaria - Serbia, priority axis "Sustainable Tourism".
The aim of the project is to develop and promote the natural and unique ethno-cultural heritage of the cross-border areas by creating a common tourist destination that will help improve the socio-economic climate in the regions.
