IBS held a seminar for high school students from the Foreign Language High School “Aleko Konstantinov” in Pravets
The International Business School was invited as a guest to the Foreign Language High School “Aleko Konstantinov” in Pravets, by Ms. Hristina Nikolova, the school’s Director, and Ms. Stefka Atanasova-Yovcheva, an English language teacher.
Our representatives conducted a seminar dedicated to the trends and prospects in the field of digital marketing during the class hour for students from 11th and 12th grades. This valuable educational initiative aims to bridge the gap between secondary and higher education and prepare high school students for the transition to the academic and professional world.
Prof. Dr. Milanka Slavova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at IBS, presented a brief history of the business school, emphasizing the individualized approach to student education tailored to their needs. Professor Slavova emphasized that our bachelor’s programs are continuously innovated with active involvement from the business community. Evidence of this is the exceptionally promising specialties we offer, such as “Business Administration and Applied Psychology” and our newest and only one in Bulgaria program in “Digital Marketing” for BA students.
Mr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Executive Director of IBS, highlighted the advantages of the high-tech material base of IBS, which provides an inspiring academic and business environment for the training and development of future business leaders.
The introduction to the key aspects of digital marketing was presented by Alexander Lalov, a student specializing in Marketing and Chairman of the Marketing Commission at the Student Council of IBS, and Margarita Lyubomirova, a member of the IBS Alumni Club, specializing in Marketing. In addition to theoretical knowledge, they applied an excellent method for assimilating the material in the form of an innovative educational game. The goal of the game was to apply the knowledge from the lecture, illustrate the diversity of career paths related to digital marketing, and highlight the dynamic nature of this field.
One of the key moments of the meeting was the presentation of a specialized career orientation test developed by IBS, through which high school students and prospective students gained greater clarity about suitable career paths for them in the context of their interests and the contemporary job market.
At the end of the event, future plans for collaboration were outlined, opening exciting opportunities for the students and the school.
