Lecturers and students from IBS inspire future candidate students from Blagoevgrad and Razlog
As part of the student recruitment campaign, our teachers and students met with students from 11th and 12th grades at the National Humanitarian High School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” and Professional High School of Economics “Ivan Iliev” in Blagoevgrad, as well as at the High School “Brothers Peter and Ivan Kanazirevi”, Professional High School of Transport and Razlog Professional High School “Nikola Stoychev” in Razlog. Prof. Dr. Ivanka Asenova, Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Irina Topuzova, and Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Atanaska Cholakova emphasized the attractive opportunities related to education and internships under the Erasmus+ program at IBS. They highlighted that through it, our students have a unique chance to spend part of their education at universities abroad.
Ivana Gyuorova, a BA student in “Business Administration and Applied Psychology” at our institution, shared with the students how valuable education at IBS is because of its practical nature. She emphasized the importance of understanding the people you work with and creating a motivating work environment, especially in family businesses, adding that she developed such skills during her studies with us.
During the meetings, current issues facing prospective students in the context of digital transformation were discussed, as well as the necessity of acquiring flexible skills to remain competitive in the job market. The students showed particular interest in the adapted career orientation test presented by Prof. Ivanka Asenova. She talked about the bachelor’s specialties that can provide them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies.
The discussions during the meetings particularly focused on the current issues that prospective students may encounter in the context of digital transformation. The importance of acquiring flexible skills to maintain competitiveness in the job market was emphasized.
