Prof. Tsvetan Iliev presented the opportunities of education in the digitalization era to high school students from Vratsa.

As part of our candidate student campaign, we met with 12th-grade students from the “Economics and Management” professional class at “Kozma Trichkov” High School, the “Humanities” profile class at “Vasil Kanchov” High School, as well as professional classes “Sales Consultant” and “Commercial Representative” at the Professional High School of Trade and Hospitality, Vratsa, as part of our candidate student campaign for bachelor’s degrees #YourModernBusinessUniversityIBS24/25.

Prof. Dr. Tsvetan Iliev, our lecturer in Micro, Macro, and International Economics, delivered an inspiring lecture on the topic “Education in the Era of Digitalization”. Professor Iliev discussed with the students the processes, procedures, and possibilities of education in the context of digitalization. Examples of educational platforms, interactive learning materials, and methods were examined. Their goal is to prepare students for the dynamic changes and challenges in the high-tech world.

The high schoolers showed a serious interest in the various aspects of digitalization affecting the socio-economic processes of contemporary society. The new technologies and their application in the educational process gave them a new perspective on ways of learning and development. They understood how artificial intelligence can be integrated into their learning process. They shared their admiration for the possibilities of more personalized and flexible learning offered by digitalization.

The meeting sparked discussions among the students about the future of education. They shared their expectations for the higher education system and their dreams for the world. In it, innovations and technologies not only shape the foundation of the learning process but also open doors to unlimited opportunities for personal and professional development. In this spirit, Professor Iliev and our university extended an invitation to these young and ambitious minds to become part of our academic community, where every idea holds value, and every effort leads to success.
