Admission Requirements for Bachelor's Degree Programs

For all bachelor’s degree programs and forms of study, you can apply if you meet the following conditions:

  • You are in the final year of secondary education before the State Exams (early admission under condition) and after successfully passing a written competitive exam /motivational essay/;
  • You have graduated from secondary school after 2008, which gives you the right to continue your education in higher education institutions;
  • You have graduated from secondary school before 2008, which gives you the right to continue your education in higher education institutions and after successfully passing a written competitive exam /motivational essay/;
  • You have graduated from higher education.

If you are a foreign citizen, you can apply and be admitted to study under the terms and conditions of the Ordinance on the State Requirements for Admission of Students to Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria.

For the academic year 2024/25, the International Business School follows the global university practice and procedure for admission to Bachelor’s programs.

The deadline for application and submission of documents is:

  • June 1, 2024 – June 30, 2024.

The earlier you submit your application for admission, the greater the chance of admission and ENROLLMENT in your desired specialty.

High school seniors:

Completed form provided by IBS /available on-site or in the online application system/

  • Academic transcript from the school for the completed first term of the final year, grades from the last three years of school, average annual overall GPA, as well as contact information for the school, representative signature, and stamp. (original)

After successfully completing the application process, each candidate will receive, personally or via the email provided for contact, a Registration Card with a unique access code for checking their ranking.

  • July 1, 2024

You will receive notification of your ranking and a Registration Card at the email address you provided.

ENROLLMENT

  • July 1, 2024 – July 09, 2024

After receiving the ranking notification, you should enroll within the specified period in your chosen specialty.

Enrollment can be done in person by the candidate or by an authorized representative.

Documents and Enrollment Procedure

  1. Enrollment document package (available on-site);
  2. Original and copy of the diploma for completed education;
  3. Proof of payment of tuition fees for the first semester.

Payment can be made:

  • by bank card using a POS terminal – at IBS when submitting documents;

Semester Fees

Semester Fees for Programs thought in Bulgarian

Winter Semester

  • One-time payment – upon enrollment for the semester – BGN 1620.
  •    Payment in installments:

– First installment – upon enrollment for the semester – BGN 860.

– Second installment – deadline for payment by November 30 – BGN 860.

Summer Semester

  • One-time payment – deadline for payment by January 31 – BGN 1620.
  • Payment in installments:

          – First installment – deadline for payment by January 31 – BGN 860.

          – Second installment – deadline for payment by March 31 – BGN 860.

Semester Fees for Programs thought in English

  1. Bulgarian and EU citizens 

Winter Semester

  • One-time payment – upon enrollment for the semester – 1,300 euros
  • Payment in installments:

       – First installment – upon enrollment for the semester – 700 euros

– Second installment – deadline for payment by December 1 – 700 euros

Summer Semester

  • One-time payment – deadline for payment by January 31 – 1300 euros
  • Payment in installments:

          – First installment – deadline for payment by January 31 – 700 euros

          – Second installment – deadline for payment by March 31 – 700 euros

2. Non-EU citizens – 2100 euros

Administrative Fees

  • Application fee / competitive entrance exam fee for Bulgarian and EU citizens – BGN 50.
  • Academic recognition, through NACID, of a degree of higher education acquired abroad, with the aim of continuing studies at MVBU – BGN 200.

Administrative fees are not refundable in case of refusal of the student or applicant from the service.

Tuition Fee Discounts

  1. 50% reduction on the semester fee for people with disabilities (with a TELK certificate) of 75% or more for bachelor’s programs.
  2. For high academic achievement in obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in English programs:
  • 400 Euros for the first year, valid for all applicants from the EU and non-EU countries (including Bulgarian citizens) with a GPA of at least 5.00 (“very good”) from their high school diploma.
  • 400 Euros for each subsequent year of study with a GPA of at least 5.00 (“very good”).

  3. For family members studying in all programs at IBS, for all applicants from the EU and non-EU countries (including Bulgarian citizens):

  • 10% for the second and each subsequent family member (spouses, siblings, parents, and children) who graduated from IBS no more than five years ago.
  • 25% for each second family member studying at the same time.

   4. For a one-time payment of the fee for the entire academic year:

  • 10% for all students from the EU and non-EU countries (including Bulgarian citizens) for obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in programs in Bulgarian and English.
  1. For early enrollment for a Bachelor’s degree by April 1:
  • 10% for all students from the EU and non-EU countries (including Bulgarian citizens) in all programs in Bulgarian and English.

Every enrolled student or doctoral student at IBS is entitled to use only one discount per academic year.
