Admission Requirements for Bulgarian Citizens

Admission to all Bachelor’s degree programmes and study modes is conducted under the approved Rolling Admission procedure. Applications are reviewed and evaluated in the order they are received until all available places for each programme have been filled.

The Rolling Admission process includes:

Early Admission – Applicants who already hold a secondary education diploma may apply, receive an admission decision, and enrol before the standard admission period. During the designated Early Admission period, candidates may also benefit from a discount on the semester tuition fee. Early Admission also includes Conditional Admission.

Conditional Admission – Final-year secondary school students may apply, receive an admission decision, and reserve a place in their chosen programme before obtaining their secondary education diploma. Applicants must submit:

• an official academic transcript issued by their secondary school; and

• a motivation letter explaining their interest in the chosen programme.

Official enrolment at IBS Bulgaria is completed after the applicant submits their secondary education diploma.

Admission Requirements for International Applicants

International applicants may apply and be admitted in accordance with the Ordinance on the State Requirements for Admission of Students to Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria, and in compliance with the applicable Bulgarian legislation governing the admission of international students.

High school seniors:

Completed form provided by IBS /available on-site or in the online application system/

• Academic transcript from the school for the completed first term of the final year, grades from the last three years of school, average annual overall GPA, as well as contact information for the school, representative signature, and stamp. (original)

• Motivational essay

High school graduates before 2008:

• Completed form provided by IBS /available on-site or in the online application system/
• High school diploma (original and copy)

High school graduates after 2008:

Rolling Admission

Applications are accepted during the following admission periods:

• 1 April 2026 – 30 April 2026

• 1 May 2026 – 30 June 2026

• 1 July 2026 – 18 September 2026

Early Admission

Once your application has been reviewed and successfully approved, you will receive an admission notification at the email address you provided.

After receiving your admission offer, you should complete your enrolment in your chosen Bachelor’s programme.

If you are unable to meet the enrolment deadline, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assist you.

Enrolment may be completed either by the applicant or by an authorised representative.

To reserve your place, you will need:

• An enrolment agreement between the applicant and IBS Bulgaria (provided on-site).

• Proof of payment of the admission deposit required to reserve your place in the selected programme.

2. Original and copy of your secondary education diploma;

3. Proof of payment of the first semester tuition fee;

4. Three passport-size photographs;

5. Valid ID card or passport.

Semester Fees for Programs Taught in Bulgarian

Winter Semester

• One-time payment upon enrollment in the semester –  1200 EUR
• Payment in two installments – 1270 EUR

– First installment upon enrollment in the semester –  635 EUR

Summer Semester

• One-time payment – payment deadline: 31st January – 1200 EUR
• Payment in two installments:

Administrative Fees

• Application fee / competitive entrance exam fee for Bulgarian and EU citizens – 30 EUR
• Academic recognition, through NACID, of a degree of higher education acquired abroad, with the aim of continuing studies at MVBU – 110 EUR

Administrative fees are not refundable in case of refusal of the student or applicant from the service.

Tuition Fee Discounts

10% Discount on the Semester Tuition Fee

A 10% discount is granted to:

• The second and each subsequent member of the same family (spouses, siblings, parents, and children), provided that a family member has graduated from IBS Bulgaria within the last five years.
• Students who pay the full annual tuition fee in a single payment.

25% Discount on the Semester Tuition Fee

A 25% discount is granted to:

• Every second family member studying at IBS Bulgaria during the same academic year.

50% Discount on the Semester Tuition Fee

A 50% discount is available to full-time Bachelor’s degree students who are:

• Persons with a certified permanent disability of 75% or higher.
• Full orphans up to 22 years of age.

Please note: Each student enrolled at IBS Bulgaria may benefit from only one tuition fee discount per academic year.
