Slow tourism – a key to sustainable development: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dessislava Alexova presents an innovative report at a prestigious conference in Paris
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dessislava Alexova participated in the International Scientific Conference on Economics, Finance & Business, held both online and in-person in Paris. The event brought together scholars and researchers in social sciences to discuss key topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, labor economics, international economics, finance, and banking.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dessislava Alexova presented a paper titled “FESTINA LENTE – HURRY SLOWLY FOR TRAVELERS,” co-authored with Professor Nevyana Krasteva, at the International Conference on Economics, Finance & Business. The paper explores the concept of “slow tourism,” its economic importance, and its implications for sustainable regional development. The findings highlight differences between traditional tourism and slow tourism, recommending that this group be treated as a distinct marketing segment. The conference proceedings will be sent for index consideration in the Web of Science database.
