A Hackathon on the topic of “Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy” took place at IBS
The mission of the International Business School – to encourage and support young people to think globally and turn their ideas into reality – is at the core of the organized hackathon competition on the topic of “Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy” for the trained students.
The event took place on November 8, 2023, at the educational building of the business school in Botevgrad and garnered significant interest, with the participation of around 40 students distributed into five teams. All participants demonstrated capabilities for innovative and creative thinking, generating new entrepreneurial ideas related to addressing current and significant societal issues.
The competition’s jury, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Andreev, Vice-Rector for Quality System Management and Education in PhD programs, and comprised of representatives from leading business companies, highly praised the presented results and shared presentations. The forum inspired and motivated the participants to continue acquiring knowledge and developing professional skills and competencies, aiming to shape them into future business leaders.
The hackathon competition is organized in collaboration with the “Business Foundation for Education” and is part of the activities under the project BG05M2OP001-2.016-0030-C01 “Modernization of educational solutions for circular economy, strategic infrastructures and productions (MECS-IP),” funded by the Operational Program “Science and Education for Smart Growth,” co-financed by the EU through the European Structural and Investment Funds.
