Founding
International Business School was founded in 1991 as the Bulgarian-Danish College of Commerce, Export and Marketing – the first private college with foreign participation in Bulgaria.
From 25.07.2002 by the decision of the XXXIX National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria the College was transformed into a specialized school – International Business School.
The International Business School has institutional accreditation and programmatic accreditation from the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria and conducts training in the degrees “Bachelor”, “Master” and “Doctor” in the professional fields:
- Administration and management
- Economics
- Tourism
The International Business School holds the DSLabel badge of honour from the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) – proof of the quality of the education offered.
Since the establishment of the Rating System of Education Institutions in Bulgaria in 2010, the International Business School has consistently occupied one of the top positions in the professional fields of Administration and Management, Economics and Tourism.
On 2.11.2023, with the decision of the Accreditation Council, IBS received a very high score – 9.35, which positions it in first place among all private universities in Bulgaria. The accreditation is valid for 6 years, until 2029.
